Bury the Hatchet- BYOB
***Changing date per the message sent last week*** Competitive axe throwing is a well known Canadian past time that’s becoming increasingly popular in the United States. Simply put, it’s like playing a game of darts, except with axes! At Bury The Hatchet you’ll experience the thrill of launching an axe at a wooden target in a safe and fun environment. You and your best mates will spend 2 hours becoming intimate with a 1.5lb piece of whirling wood and metal as you learn, practice, and ultimately play in an axe throwing tournament! This is BYOB, and you can bring food as well! Cost: $42 per person, including tax Pay for your spot here: Please bring government issued ID and wear CLOSED toe shoes. Because the reservation will be exclusive to our group, payments are not refundable unless we are able to find someone to take your spot. Since we are rescheduling, a refund will be provided in the event that you are unable to attend the new date.

What we're about

Do you have a list of places you would love to visit, and wish you had people to come along with you? We're looking for people who love to travel, and enjoy elevating their experiences to create fabulous memories. We'll have a couple trips abroad on a yearly basis, and get together every month or so to enjoy weekend getaways, local festivals, and restaurants. This group is for anyone who enjoys traveling in style and sees the glass as half full. We enjoy luxury, we're foodies, we're explorers, and we love life! Relaxing in a beautiful setting with great people, excellent food, and our favorite glass of wine is our idea of time well-spent. We want to savor a sun-drenched scene in Tuscany, surrounded by lemon and olive trees. We would love to stand in awe of the majestic Swiss Alps. We dream of island-hopping through French Polynesia, drinking in the incredible shades of turquoise, ultramarine, and sky blue surrounding us. We want to experience life in its fullness, and share those moments with others.

Remember, this group focuses on luxury. Pricing for trips will be a little higher than most that you'll see elsewhere, since we're experiencing a higher caliber of trip. Couples and singles are welcome. It's all about being positive and enjoying the best in life!

When you join the group, I have a few questions listed. Please be sure to answer the questions, as I take your ideas and feedback to heart as I plan our trips. I also ask that you include a photo of yourself. We take attendance at our Meetups, and it's nice to have a sense of what you look like when we meet.

Some trips that are in the works (most of these are ready to book, scroll down our events page to learn more about each. Be sure to click, "See More" so that you can see the entire list, since we plan events about 18 months in advance):

-Santorini, Greece- June 2018

-A Taste of Bordeaux French River Cruise- August 2018

-Fabulous Women's Getaway in Jamaica- March 2019

-New Zealand- May 2019

-Southern Caribbean Cruise (Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, St. Martin)- June 2019

-Paris- October 2019 (pending)

-Tahiti- December 2019

This group is designed for our members to savor unique places that provide exceptional experiences. We like to support smaller businesses, and will rarely visit a chain restaurant for a sit-down dinner.

When we book a restaurant for a meal, that establishment is counting on us to keep our word, and be there when we say we will be there. They are counting on us to show up since they turn away additional business based on our reservations.

Please do not RSVP 'Yes' to a meal if you have little or no intention of attending, and if you are not in the habit of sending an update when you have last-minute changes. It makes us look bad, causes a loss of revenue for the restaurant, and damages the restaurant's confidence in our group.

To that end, we charge a small fee to RSVP for our meal reservations, or we may ask that you pay in advance to RSVP. The fee will be nonrefundable, and is a gesture of your commitment to attend the event. Terms will be listed on each event page.

I appreciate your understanding as you consider the perspectives of the small businesses we support.

Keeping your word means a lot to me, so please truly consider your schedule and commitments before you RSVP for our meet ups. If I notice that you habitually RSVP yes to events and do not attend, I may remove you from the group at my discretion. Also, this is an upbeat, positive community that I guard very carefully. If you cause any discord or disrespect, I will remove you from the group.

Travel agents and agencies: you are more than welcome to join us on our trips, however please do not solicit our group for business. Thank you for your understanding.

Happy Travels!
