How to Give a TED Talk -- and Improve Your Communication Skills

On Wednesday, September 19th, FairCo TEEM will kick off the Fall season with a program that focuses on Communication Skills.

Our speaker, Jeremey Donovan, Group VP of Marketing at Gartner, Inc., will begin with a presentation based on his book "How To Deliver A TED Talk" -- a complete guide for creating presentations that inspire others through your story. Based on intensive study of the most popular TEDTalks, this step-by-step playbook shows you how to select your topic, craft your narrative, master your delivery, and refine your design. Jeremey is one of the leaders of the local TEDx community.

Following the TED-talk presentation, Jeremey will host an interactive public speaking workshop with startups and other interested businesses on how to craft pitches that win big deals with investors and customers. Brave volunteers will have the opportunity to receive expert coaching on their content and delivery.

We’re going to change the format and start the Networking at 5:00 pm. Presentations will start between 6:30 and 7pm. Event will be held at the Stamford Innovation Center. If anyone would like to set up a booth or demo between 5 and 7, let Peter Propp know.
