A Rebel revel tour of New Haven’s craft brew pubs

Get rid of your cenosillicaphobia for the day on May 11th!!
Our favorite Rebel has prepared an amazing tour for us in New Haven!  Read on:

  • 2-4 pm Prime 16    (Half Priced Drafts)
Prime 16 is located at 172 Temple St. With 20 rotating beers on tap at ½ price
Find us at the bar
http://prime16.com/draft/

  • 4-6 pm The Russian Lady  ($4 Drafts and bottles)
The Russian Lady is at 144 Temple St, with 40 beers on tap at $4 each
Find us at the main bar and the tables in front of it, when you first walk in the door.
They are opening an hour early **just for our group**. During the two hours we will get $4 drafts and bottles, $5 bar appetizers, $4 martinis for the rebels, and the drunks can get $5 special “ice teas”
They have a “KGB” room downstairs featuring bourbons and whiskeys, with a waterfall wall. A vodka room upstairs offers many unique flavors of infused vodkas

  • 6-8 pm The Cask Republic
The Cask Republic is at 179 Crown St. with 53 beers on tap
Find us at the table(s) we will reserve for the group
http://thecaskrepublic.com/

  • 8-10 pm Bar
Bar is at 254 Crown St. They brew their own beers
Look for the group of drunks scoffing down pizza

Whoever is left at this point can decide which of the many bars/food establishments/strip clubs to hit up.

This is a casual day out. Stop by for one bar, come for the afternoon, the evening, or for the entire tour. Eat when you are hungry. Drink when you are sober. We will stick to the schedule within 15 minutes (never leaving a bar more than 15 minutes early or arriving at one more than 15 minutes late). So you should find us within 15 minutes of the schedule. If you are new to the group and/or think you may have trouble finding us, let us know, we will give you a # to text.
New Haven offers several parking options. There is plenty of metered parking spots available around the bars, feed them til 9pm. (They take credit cards along with quarters). Parking lots and garages in the area charge either a flat fee for the entire day or by the hour.
All of the bars are located within a mile of the New Haven train station – so take a train, catch a cab and you don’t have to worry about driving or parking.
Car pooling and assigned sober drivers are always recommended. (If anyone has a parking lot they would recommend, please put location and price in comments.)
Remember to always tip your bartenders and servers.

Two hour visits sounds long, to a novice drinker like myself, but I'll try!

People that don't mind a walk may want to see if there is space in Yale lot #51, which is free on weekends. On Temple between Elm & Wall Sts. a block north of The Green.
