This is the Falun Dafa in Nevada meetup group. We would like to invite you to come and experience what Falun Dafa is all about. Most of us who practice Falun Dafa have found it has balance our life, be it having better health, improved relationships with others.

So you maybe wondering what Falun Dafa is. Well, Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong, or just Dafa) is a high-level cultivation practice guided by the characteristics of the universe—Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. "Cultivation" means continuously striving to better harmonize oneself with these universal principles. “Practice” refers to the exercises – five sets of easy-to-learn gentle movements and meditation. Cultivating oneself is essential; practicing the exercises supplements the process. While the exercises have deep inner meanings, they also help to reduce stress and can bring great improvements in health and fitness. So come to the park and experience it for yourself!

Its free to learn the 5 exercises of Falun Dafa at the Desert Breeze practice site. We have a retired couple (Ben and Lisa) who have been hosting the practice site almost every day for over 20 years! During the weekends we have Jackie and Karen who will be hosting. If you arrive a little late and they have their eyes closed, don't be shy, walk up to the group and join in. You might need to tap someone on the shoulder, or just say hello to one of us to let us know you would like to learn. Beginners are always welcome.

It's a good idea to bring something to sit on ~ a towel or an exercise mat. If you forget don't worry we sometimes have extra mats. There is a concrete bench if sitting on the ground is difficult for you. We meet all year-round, under the shade of the trees in the hot summer, or in the sunshine in winter. We only stop for a down pour of rain... which in Vegas is very rare!

Falun Dafa, is an advanced traditional Chinese qigong and meditation system. Four of the qigong exercises are standing exercises that are done for one hour they are slow, gentle, and smooth. The fifth exercise is a sitting mediation, we listen to soft music and enter a very peaceful filled state. Beginners are free to try the meditation for how ever long they enjoy sitting with us. We sit for a full hour of meditation. The total time for the practice is 2 hours which goes very fast! At the end you will feel peaceful and energized.

The exercises systematic movements are design to improve body, mind and spirit. The practice not only has far reaching effects on stress-relief and overall mental and physical health, but also ultimately has the higher goal of bringing people towards wisdom and enlightenment.
