The Far Northside Co-Ed Book Club Message Board › REMINDER- Far Northside Book Club RSVP Policy
As we have many new members, and we seem to be moving back to where we have large waiting lists, I wanted to send out a reminder of the FNS Book Club's RSVP Policy.
Please remember, when you RSVP yes, you are taking one of the 20 available spots and potentially pushing someone else who wants to attend to the waiting list. No shows also make it very difficult for me, as the organizer, to plan locations. To be fair and considerate to both the other members and to me, please make sure you are updating your RSVP as soon as possible if plans change.
I have been enforcing this RSVP policy and do want to make sure everyone is clear on how it works:
- If you are listed as a Yes going in to a meetup and do not show up, you will be listed as a "No Show." A no show is further defined as anyone who is listed as a Yes and either does not change their RSVP in advance of the meeting or, under more urgent circumstances, get in touch with me.
- The above includes those who are automatically bumped up to a Yes from the waiting list. If you add yourself to the waiting list, please be sure to keep an eye on your status. Waiting List members will automatically be moved as people drop off up until about four days before the actual meeting.
- Three no shows will result in removal and banning from the FNS Book Club. Again, this has been enforced monthly and I will continue to monitor attendance.
- Once you are listed with a no show on your attendance record, you will no longer be able to nominate books in future book polls. I haven't been enforcing this however will begin to moving forward. The ability to nominate books will be left to those who attend or are diligent about updating their RSVP when plans change.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
