What we're about
Hi and Welcome to the Fashion Industry LA (Los Angeles) Meetup group.
We are very proud of the strength of our Meetup and it's significant role in the fashion scene of Los Angeles. This group is about networking, meeting others in the fashion industry, previewing and reviewing fashion events throughout the city, and making a contribution through shared experiences. We welcome anyone serious about the field of fashion and look to our experts in fashion design, manufacturing, media, and retailing for their mentorship.
Update January 2015. When you apply PLEASE USE A PHOTO OF YOURSELF for tour profile and PROVIDE YOUR FASHION INDUSTRY REFERENCE. We typically do not approve profiles without personal photo. We review all submissions and acceptance moves faster if we can easily access your fashion background information online! Even if you are not currently engaged in a fashion-related work, list your area of interest and relevant activities; e.g. attending fashion charity event. Thanks!
Los Angeles is an international hub for fashion with leading designers and brands either based here or having a flagship studio. The California Market Center in the Los Angeles Fashion District is well-known in the fashion industry as a leader for fashion sourcing, with buyers coming from South America, Europe, and Asia. Celebrity and red carpet fashion originates in Los Angeles and Hollywood and spreads it influence throughout the trend world. And some of the finest boutiques and fashion specialty retailers are located in our great city. The Fashion Industry LA Meetup group explores all of these resources while sharing our experiences to benefit our members.
Please submit to join our group. Currently the waiting list is 200+ so please be patient if it takes a little time to review your submission. We also ask that you provide full name and/or Facebook/Twitter/Intagram/Pinterest/Dotcom website that references your work in the fashion industry. Thanks again for visiting and we look forward to seeing you at the next Meetup!
