This is a personalized solution-based intensive to help artists translate their ideas to paper and evolve their illustration style to a level that resonates with the viewer (your market), not only with you (the creator). He'll explain how he maintains and performs at a high level, more consistently, at a steady output, within limited time frames, and for different markets.
In addition to sharing his colorful industry stories, each workshop will feature a live model styled in different outfits and will cover the following subjects:
Clothing The Figure
Layout of Illustrations
Rendering Skin Tones
Improving Hands & Feet
Interpreting Your Client Needs
Balancing & Defining The Figure
Throughout his career Barnette has mastered both disciplines of pure fashion illustration and illustration for design purposes, having been Design Director at Ralph Lauren Dresses, Yansi Fugel, and A Line by Anne Klein. He has had to adapt and adhere to the illustration standards set by different companies and has taught his methods of Fashion Design Art for over a decade at FIT.
