What we're about

Welcome to the Information Systems Security Association - Fayetteville/Fort Bragg Chapter. We currently hold our meetings at Fayetteville Technical College and are minutes from the largest military base in the United States with a population of 239,000. Home of the 82nd Airborne Division Headquarters which specializes in joint forcible entry operations, FORSCOM Headquarters which leads the Total Armed Forces, USASOC Headquarters which is the Command in charge of various special operation forces, Womack Army Medical Center, XVIII Airborne Corps Headquarters, Joint Special Operations Command, USARC which is the Command that oversees all the Army Reserve units, and Department of Defense government civilians. In addition, to the Military footprint we also have representation from the local Fayetteville Community. Those organizations consist of participants from Fayetteville Technical Community College, Fayetteville State University, Cape Fear Health Systems, Campbell University, and Public Works Commission. Raleight Research Triangle Fortune 500 companies have a strong presence in our membership with members from CISCO, SAS, IBM, NETAPP, etc. Many of our members are Veterans that are leaders in the Cyber Security Industry as well as non-military affiliates serving the community and leading the Information Technology. We are always seeking applications and hardware that is more efficient and will assist in ensuring high performance without disaffirming the secure protection. We focus on helping Transitioning Veterans and up & coming Cyber professionals in the surrounding area. We try to focus on mentoring, training, Road mapping and career assistance in all areas in Information Systems but specialize in Cyber Security roles whether for .gov, .mil or .coms.
We welcome all to our events whether it is to learn something new, network a new job or just “nerd out” for a little while with fellow professionals.
