Do you find yourself struggling to come up with ideas and a plan for preparing healthy dinnertime meals night after night?
Meal planning is a chore that takes time and effort and often falls to bottom of our to-do lists. If you find yourself eating out at restaurants, stopping on the way home to pick up prepared food or coming up with ideas for dinner as you walk around the grocery store then this group might be for you!
My goal for this group is to make the chore of planning healthy dinners for the week more fun. I'll bring along some cook books and ideas for selecting recipes, creating a shopping list and coming up with a plan to stock the necessary ingredients and do some advance food preparation.
A little work in advance goes a long way! Dining out at restaurants is a nice treat but we all know the food is usually loaded with added salt, fat and calories. That's why it tastes so good! A nice home-cooked meal saves you money, calories galore and makes you feel more organized and in control of the quality of the ingredients you are putting in your body.
The Elks Club has a dining room with a nice menu so we can eat dinner while we plan our dinners for the upcoming week!

As an added bonus... there is an open mic every Thursday night beginning at 7:30 pm. My friends and I play guitar and sing some songs and you are welcome to bring an instrument and/or your singing voice and join in!
