Move to Improve!

  • November 30 · 2:00 PM
  • 142, Terrace Road

The Feldenkrais Method is a remarkable and fascinating approach to movement, learning and health. In the classes you learn how to use movement to improve your functioning - physically, mentally and emotionally. Gentle sequences of guided moving, sensing and mindful attention improve the way in which the brain coordinates posture and movement. Lessons are enjoyable and can benefit anyone, as each person works at their own level of ability. Most people experience a difference after the first class, finding more comfort, ease, lightness and increased range of movement.

Benefits include:

• Improved posture, co-ordination, core strength and balance

• Easier and fuller breathing, co-ordinated with action

• Deeper self-awareness in yoga, meditation and martial arts

• Relief from pain, excess tension and stiffness

• Increased vitality and calmer clearer thinking

• More efficient movement resulting in enhanced performance for sport, dance, music and drama

Cost £6

I'm very sorry to hear that Dee, thanks for letting me know. I hope you make a quick recovery, and Feldenkrais is great for rahablilitating after injury, so maybe you can come along when you're more mobile again. With best wishes, Philippa
