Pain is a doorway to self-knowledge.
If you attend to it. If you choose to walk through.

When you experience pain, you have the opportunity to ask yourself:

"What's the source of this pain? Is there something I can do to change my experience?"

 Most of us discover The Feldenkrais Method® of Somatic Education because of pain.

Once the pain is gone, we stay because what we're learning about ourselves is so valuable, and leads to improvements far beyond our work with ourselves during a lesson.

HOW THIS HAPPENS

When you begin to pay attention to how you're moving, your attention sparks change and leads to improvement.
Ordinarily, we learn just enough to function. For example, we learn to use our hands well enough to eat, our legs well enough to walk. Our abilities to function with a greater range of ease and skill, however, remain to be developed. And our habits of self-use—physical and mental—can lead to difficulty over time. Back pain. Knee injuries. Carpel Tunnel's. Anxiety.

**Feldenkrais® **teaches—through movement and awareness—how you can improve and expand your capabilities to function in daily life, in your favorite sports, or as a performing artist. With practice, attention, and time, you can not only eliminate the patterns which are causing your pain, you can go far beyond you ever imagined.
