"2 years ago at the More Than Rubies conference, I found myself raising my hand to a question raised by a conference speaker. "Are you afraid of your own success"? What??? Being a highly motivated individual - one of my life goals is to change the world - I was shocked at my response! I spent a year unpacking why I was afraid of being successful - and how I could move myself out of that mindset.

If you have been holding yourself back - in your career, in your family life, in pursuing your passion or making a difference to others because you are afraid of being successful, this is the session for you. Join me in this thought-provoking and interactive session as we unpack what success looks like for you, identify what is holding you back and strategies for how you can move forward to make success happen for you."

Speaker Biography:

Shiffy Lal is the Founder of Making A Difference Skills limited and More Than Rubies, a social enterprise that empowers girls and women through practical skills. Shiffy is also a Senior Manager at Tenzing Management and Technology Consultants - helping large organisations move from point A to point B through the adoption of New Ways of Working (Lean and Agile) and Strategy. When she is not working on changing the world you can find Shiffy pottering in her garden, hanging with her family or day-dreaming about her next holiday. You can find out more about Shiffy and her mission at Rubies at www.morethanrubies.org.

We’ll finish the session with an opportunity for networking.

All welcome, you don't need to be currently working in tech or to identify as female to participate.
