MISSION: The Feminists Humanist Alliance of the Humanists of Southeast Michigan is a network of women and others committed to the principles of Humanism. Through service, education, advocacy, and direct action, we strive for social progress by promoting critical consciousness, innate creativity, and the ethical use of these qualities to improve a constantly changing universe.
Humanism is a worldview that rejects the idea of the supernatural and places its trust in science when it comes to understanding how the universe works. Committed to an inclusive world, decisions are based on reason, ethics, empathy, and a concern for human beings and other sentient animals.
