- Hatha Yoga
This class will help you to improve your balance, flexibility and strength. You will also learn breathing techniques to help with stress, anxiety and blood pressure. Yoga is a great way to stay active without putting strain on your joints. You will sleep better, move better and feel better. She enjoys teaching many styles of classes including Kids Yoga Camp, Gentle therapeutic, slow flow and level one with meditation around the Detroit area.
- Restorative Flow with Meditation
This gentle class will begin with quiet meditation to help you unwind from your week. The asana practice (physical practice) will start with slow-moving Vinyasa-style sequences and will wind down with some yin and restorative postures. Pre-registration is greatly appreciated! - Sunday Morning Meditation & Inspiration
Our Sunday morning meditation begins with sitting quietly. A few minutes after 10:30 AM we formally begin with an opening prayer, some simple yoga-style chants and then a 15 to 20 minute period of guided and silent meditation. Following the meditation there will be a short inspiring talk, based on scriptural readings of the East and West. We end with a brief healing prayer and song. You can sit yoga-style on the floor or on a chair. All are welcome. This event is FREE. Donations are welcome and appreciated.
- Slow Flow Yoga with Sarah Jakubowski
Connecting breath and movement in a safe enviroment. We will do a few Sun Salutations with modifications offered and traditional Hatha Yoga postures held a little longer to build strength and flexibility. All levels are welcome. Please bring a yoga mat. Class can be purchased in center or at anandamichigan.org/yoga
- Slow Burn Yoga
A combo of yoga styles focusing on breath And alignment. This class can be a challenge yet gives you permission to listen to what your body needs. First class free. Packages available. 15$ drop in. Pre register at anandaferndale.Punchpass.com
- Yin Yoga
This class is a slower, more meditative practice where poses are held for approximateley 3-5 minutes. By holding the postures longer, students are able to stretch and nourish the connective tissues. All levels are welcome. please bring a yoga mat www.anandamichigan.org/yoga
