An all levels class with focus on alignment; beginners will safely learn the basics while more experienced students can take postures to a deeper level. Deeper understanding of how the breath links with movement to generate the powerful lines of energy that run through each yoga pose. We will examine the correct structural alignment in each pose, including appropriate modifications to suit the individual. All classes will begin with a reflection on the ancient philosophic principles at the base of the modern yoga practice.

Sonia has a deep interest for Anatomy and Physiology, the reason behind her choice to train in one of the first hospital-based teacher training facilities of the Nation, at the Integrative Medicine Department of the William Beaumont Hospital of Royal Oak.
Sonia's goal is to promote good health and peaceful living, and empower students to develop self-healing techniques. In this spirit, she is continuing her education with the objective of helping people with disabilities and chronic pathologies to achieve a better quality of life.
