This is a great class for both total beginners and folks that would like a refresher, or to deepen their experience of better capturing volume and dimension in their drawings.
In this fun and fast-paced class we'll explore:
--The truth and illusion of light and shadow
--Making your drawing look more 3-dimensional
--How to better see the degrees of light and dark
--Different ways of capturing shadows on paper
--The importance of contrast
This class will feature a live models for most of the class and will last 3 hours.
you are welcome to bring whatever art materials you're comfortable using, but it is strongly suggested you also get a rough newsprint drawing pad, approx 14"x 17" or 12"x 18" and some compressed charcoal sticks (Nupastels, Alphacolor drawing chalk or Cretacolor black chalk are also good).
Attendance will be limited to 12 people.
This class is great all by itself or in combination with Intro 1.
In response to some great feedback from the last Intro II, I've changed some of the course material to better address peoples' needs and interests! Come check out the changes!
