We're hosting a round-table discussion forum on diversity in Fintech at 6pm in StateStreet. All are welcome to attend and contribute. We're looking for your views on the challenges to make the Fintech industry in Ireland more diverse and inclusive. We also hope to develop a longer term working group, from willing contributors, to look at potential solutions and how they might be implemented.

Women in Fintech: Building Confidence in the Future The Fintech and Payments Association of Ireland (FPAI) and Citi invite you to join them to discuss gender diversity in the Financial Services Technology Sector. We will be holding a panel discussion with leaders from the Financial Services Sector to explore this topic and consider how we can progress gender diversity in the future. The panel discussion will be followed by a networking opportunity. - Building Fintech Solutions using existing APIs and cloud services
We will present an overview of a number of different APIs from payment, banking, cryptocurrency, blockchain and smart contracts. The session should be about and hour and each API limited to 15/20 minutes. Networking and discussion afterwards. • Smart Contract - a demo and walkthrough from Vineet Singh of Citi. Vineet is an innovation lead in Citi Innovation Lab Dublin. He leads Citi’s work in blockchain and smart contract research. Supply Chains and Trade finance are the business areas when vineet hopes to make block chain’s a reality. He is a huge proponent of public chains and also represents Citi TTS in R3 group of Consortium. Vineet has a Master’s in in distributed systems and peer to peer networks from Trinity College Dublin. • Payment APIs - a walkthrough of key payment APIS from Petrina Leslie of Escher Group. Petrina heads up development of Interactive Services in Escher. She has over 15 years' experience developing and deploying systems for financial services companies and has worked with both a number of start-ups and large multi nationals. Her particular area of expertise is in how mobile wallets and loyalty can be used to help businesses engage with the connected customer of today. • Banking APIs - an experience report of the figo banking api by Padraig O'Brien an Engineer with a penchant for startups and finance. • Blockchain as a Service - Azure has a set of blockchain offerings on its cloud. Daragh Morrissey from Microsoft presents a flying overview. Daragh Morrissey is a Technology Strategist with Microsoft specialising in the Financial Services Industry. He is an IASA Certified Architect Professional and Microsoft Certified Architect. - February Meetup - Skuchain Using Blockchain For Supply Chain and Trade
Very happy to have Sriram Srinivasan from the startup Skuchain to present this month. He and his team are over from California. He will be presenting on using blockchain to solve some supply chain and trade problems. After the talk, there will be an open q&a. Modern supply chains are complex.
