100ccc Quest: Jax to San Diego to Jax

  • 100cc Quest = Coast to coast to coast in less than 100 hours. (Jacksonville to San Diego and back to Jacksonville).

    100ccc is an "EXTREME" iron butt ride, aka INSANITY

    This is an official Iron Butt Association (IBA) ride.  We'll ride according to IBA rules and guidelines.  Completion of this challenge will entitle you to recognition with IBA certificate(s), and HUGE bragging rights. 

    If this will be your 2nd IBA ride, you're automatically entered into the Mile Eater Program.

    This is an endurance ride designed for Iron Butt enthusiasts. This is NOT a sight-seeing ride or tour.  Riders will be paired up into groups of two (2), according to your riding habits and bike performance..

    Planning for this 100ccc Quest is ongoing.

    100ccc:  Depart from Jacksonville on Tuesday May 16th., returning no later than Saturday May 20th. (maximum of 100 hours = 4 days, 4 hours)


    Certificates you may earn with this ride:

    • Saddlesore 1000

    • Saddlesore 2000

    • Saddlesore 3000

    • Bunburner 1500

    • Bunburner 3000

    • 50cc Quest

    • 1000ccc Quest

    Note that you will only be given credit for the 4,800 miles of the 100ccc if you apply these towards the IBA Mile-Eater program.


    ** 100ccc Quest Notes: Stops along the route should be no less than 125 miles apart. Fuel stops not exceeding 15 minutes each.  Meal stops will not to exceed 30 minutes. If you break down, we'll get you and your bike to the nearest exit off the highway and all other riders will continue along the route. Time management is the utmost importance with this ride.


    Coast-to-Coast-to-Coast = 100ccc =  Jacksonville FL to San Diego CA and back in less than 100 hours = 4,800 miles


    Route Map:  Total = 4,800 MILES

    A pre-ride meeting will be scheduled four weeks prior to riding. Please do NOT make any mechanical or electrical modifications to your bike 15-days in advance to KSU.


    Please complete a pre-ride inspection and DO NOT show up with a full tank of fuel. All riders Release Liability

    I think so. I'm planning to do a Key West ride in January or February if I need the 1000 mile qual before the 100 ccc. It's 500 miles to Key West.
