Formerly known as Stroller Fitness of Blackstone Valley, Fit Mom’s offers classes that are totally kid friendly and will totally get you in shape while having a blast...Think of it as a big outdoor play date where you also get a killer workout! If you want to be healthy and fit and be a great role model for your kids then join us! Gillian started the group over 7 years and has been the lead organizer and group fitness instructor during that time. She has since had two more children and the group has evolved as many members have stayed on and now have older children. The group continues to grow with many new moms and their little ones.
Gillian is a certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach through the American Council of Exercise, as well a certified cycling instructor with Schwinn and a certified TRX instructor. Gillian has always had a love for sports and fitness and was very active in recreational and school sports growing up in Smithfield RI. After gaining some weight in college and wanting to get healthy again Gillian began running, lifting weights and seeing a nutritionist. She lost 30 lbs over 8 months and decided to become an inspiration to others by becoming a trainer. Gillian has worked as a personal trainer and fitness instructor for 13 years. She currently also instructs cycling and Hiit classes at One Cycle in Smithfield, RI. Gillian is a married mom to three children under the age of 7 and has her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She works part time as a child therapist with an office in Upton, MA.
There are two classes offered: Bootcamp classes combine cardio, functional strength training and total body conditioning. Hiit will torch calories with explosive and dynamic movements that will leave you burning calories hours later. All fitness levels are welcome for both classes! Come out and have fun while meeting other moms in the area, make new friendships for you and your little ones and get fit in the process!
