This group is for anyone looking to read and discuss the short stories of one of America’s most iconic writers, Flannery O’Connor. Together, we will look for and make sense of grace in the midst of both the humor and the grotesque so characteristic of O’Connor’s stories. While this group will focus on religious themes present in O’Connor’s work, anyone with any spiritual background is totally welcome. Come hang out with drinks and good conversation. Facilitated by Tim Kim, pastor at Root and Branch Church, and Patrick Derdall, PhD candidate in religious studies at the University of Virginia.
