Announcing a new Meetup for Florida Macintosh Users Group!

What: Florida Macintosh Users Group September Meetup

When: Saturday, September 18,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Bruegger?s Bagels
895 E. Altamonte Drive
Altamonte Springs, FL 32701

Join us for our first ?restaurant meeting? this coming Saturday, at Bruegger?s Bagels! For the next few months, FLMUG will have formal meetings every other month, on the even-numbered months. On the odd-numbered months, we?ll have an informal get-together at a local restaurant, either for lunch or dinner. This meeting will usually be associated with an activity in which FLMUG members will be interested.

This Saturday morning, our Apple Seeds team ? Alastair Burton and Jon Ramer ? will be fixing up older Macintosh computers for donating to the community. For more on the Apple Seeds activity, see the article on page one of the FLMUG newsletter for December, 2008.

Anyone is welcomed to stop by Apple Seeds to donate older Macs (but not older than a G3 iMac), to arrange for the pickup of a Mac for a nonprofit organization, church or individual, or just to check out the operation. They are usually there from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on the first and third Saturdays of each month.

This Saturday will be a kind of "open house" for Apple Seeds, as the entire Meetup community is invited to swing by before our lunch event at 2:00. Bruegger?s Bagels is a short walk from the Apple Seeds shop, which is the northeast corner of the office building of the Altamonte Chapel, on 436. To park at Apple Seeds, enter from Forest Avenue. If you can?t make it to Apple Seeds, stop by for lunch.

And feel free to get back to us if you have suggestions for other restaurant meetups. As always, check out our website at

See you Saturday!
