Thanks to all for coming out in the drizzle. You all are making sure I got off the sofa this summer to pre-hike and get a little moe in condition for this summer's hikes!

I loved the hike. Joan was full of interesting information to share. The people I met are awesome. The LWP is a great place for a walk in the woods. I couldn't make the brunch afterwards, but maybe next time.

Kristin (and others), please note the address above. This hike is NOT in Wekiva State Park. This is a separate property on SR 46 west of Sanford. There's plenty of parking well off the shoulder of the road.

Are there any appropriate places to kayak and hike closer to winter haven? Are there any group members that have hiked closer to winter haven?

Be sure to bring plenty of water, a hat, and bug spray. This hike will be S-L-O-W, but fun. Or at least I hope it will be fun!

I'm planning on bringing my bike for an after breakfast ride on the Seminole / Wekiva Trail, so if anyone's interested, let me know.
