This is a Saturday and Sunday project. You are welcome to come for one or both days. The goal is to reduce potential hiker injury from slippery / wet boardwalks and bridges on the Eglin segment of the Florida Trail. Workplan: Crews will be installing roofing shingles on boardwalks at Gum and Big Fork Creeks on Eglin. Contact the activity leader for additional details. BRING: Plenty of fluids, lunch, insect repellent, orange vest, gloves, hammer and utility knife. NO PETS PERMITTED!
An annual Eglin recreation permit is REQUIRED when working or recreating on the Eglin Reservation. Permits can be purchased in person at Jackson Guard in Niceville.
