We had a very jovial meeting this week! 12 members were present (no guests). Anna S who gave her icebreaker speech titled "I Heart California!". She shared much about her journey to California. Interesting and a wonderful icebreaker speech. Maytal gave her 3rd speech titled "Made from Scratch" about her discovery of the benefits of cooking/baking things from scratch and the surprising benefits that result. Congratulations to both speakers on their jovial speeches. Yolanda led us in Table Topics. The theme was around St. Patrick, since the day before was the holiday in his honor. David, Paul, Craig, Corey, Pablo, Bina and Ru were called to the podium and spoke about varied topics such as how St. Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland, a sales pitch for becoming a priest (the hours and job security), what St. Patrick would think if he saw people drink to excess on his day of honor, and much more. You had to have been there....NEXT MEETING WILL BE A TALL TALE CONTEST! Will be fun.

A wonderful meeting tonight! Pablo was our TMOD. Craig gave a brief "how this club is doing" report. He pointed out that we only chartered last June, but we are well on our way to be a strong and thriving club. Ravi, our Area Governor, explained what a Tall Tales Speech contest is, and explained that if we hold a contest, the winner of that contest can compete in an Area Contest in April. We decided we will hold a Tall Tales contest March 25. Should be fun! Craig led us in Table Topics with a theme inspired by the Chinese New Year, this being The Year of the Horse. 6 people gave an impromptu speech during Table Topics. Michael gave his 3rd speech, titled Cooking Your Food. He spoke passionately about fine food and his philosophy of cooking. Nice job, Michael! Anna S. gave a wonderful evaluation with valuable feedback. The meeting functionaries gave their reports and our guest shared her impressions of our meeting. Ru adjourned the meeting and invited all to come again next week.
