What we're about

The Food as Medicine meetup is a manifestation of a vision to educate people on the powers of using Food as Medicine. For thousands of years food has been used as medicine in Persia and the Middle East. The focus of these gatherings is to learn how to use food to help our bodies become well balanced. We invite members of the community that have a passion for health to present their perspectives on using Food as Medicine to our meetup participants. With the health of our society suffering and the rising costs of healthcare, we provide the information needed for people to take their health into their own hands and empower the body to heal naturally using food and other natural approaches.

Our meetings are held at Caspian Grill which provides many persian, mediterranean, Vegetarian, Vegan and Middle Eastern foods that can bring balance to our bodies and help us recover from fluctuations that can cause health problems.

If you have a topic you would like to share, please contact our meetup organizer Lanette. Please note that speakers are encouraged to focus on education and not selling a service or product.
