What we're about

We'll forage in parks and natural areas throughout the Greater NY region looking for edible and medicinal herbs, greens, fruits, berries, nuts, seeds, shoots, roots, seaweeds, and mushrooms — all renewable species often characterized as "weeds," that humans have been using for food and medicine for centuries. Anyone interested in nature, science, ecology, food, health, nutrition, history, folklore, mythology, and the outdoors will enjoy learning about wild foods and herbs.
