Much of the Salesforce user interface is accessible out of the box to users who require assistive technologies, but what happens when you need to write custom Visualforce or Lightning? How can you ensure that your custom pages and components have the best possible experience for everyone, even users who are blind or have vision impairments, or have impaired motor control and can't use a mouse?

Jesse Hausler (head of the Accessibility team at Salesforce) and Shannon Hale (Director of UX at Skuid and former Salesforce Accessibility Workgroup member) will deliver this talk on how to build accessible user interfaces using Visualforce, Lightning, and other frameworks on The talk will cover accessibility basics, what Salesforce delivers out of the box for accessible declarative, Visualforce and Lightning user interfaces, and how you can improve your code and the usability of your pages for everyone (not just users with disabilities) by writing accessible code.
