This is a group for anyone interested in qigong (chi kung). We practice exercises from Level One, Level Two, and the Five Elements of the Spring Forest Qigong system, as founded by Master Chunyi Lin. No experience is necessary. Practice sessions are presented in a welcoming and nurturing environment. Exercises are designed to enhance well-being, and they incorporate the four components of breath work, movement, visualization, and sound.
This is a certified Spring Forest Qigong practice group, with our sessions currently being held online through Zoom. If you RSVP, the link for the session will be provided. We practice exercises from Level 1, Level 2, and the Five Elements Qigong set. No experience is necessary, and we welcome newcomers, at any time! This qigong system is a wonderful way to enhance health and reduce stress. Come be a part of our friendly group! There is currently no charge to take part. Our next session will be Thursday, August 12. What are our practice sessions like? We start with a special warm-up sequence that incorporates bouncing, tapping, and cupping energy points in the body--this warms up the body and enhances energy flow, helping to remove energy blockages. We then go into simple active movements that incorporate posture, breath work, visualization, and vibration from sound. Next, we have a discussion topic for the day, which includes an energy point technique from Chunyi Lin's book, Head to Toe Healing. We close with a seated guided meditation that's sure to promote relaxation, focus, and a feeling of wellness.
