Google Places and Google Plus Pages Explained

A few months ago I attended a Meetup that attempted to explain Google Places vs Google Plus.  I left the meeting more confused than ever before.  So over the past two month I've been doing research, getting answers and testing out theories.

By the end of this Meetup you will have a much better understanding of Google Plus, Google Plus Pages and Google Places.  You might even have a clear plan of action by the time you leave!

Hope to see you all there!

Hi everyone! I unfortunately will be staying late at work and can't make it tonight. I hope you all learn a lot and have a great time!

I was really looking forward to this meeting but had something come up at my office in Nebraska and had to run back there for a couple of days. See you next time! Thanks Scott & Rob for putting on such high quality meetups.

Scott, I don't think Google+ is going anywhere (I should have prefaced that) but it will be interesting to see how it changes. Also, an interesting note is that after an audit on over 60 clients here is the order of social media sites that converted... Facebook (no surprise), Google+ (I was very surprised), Pinterest and then Twitter. Good article from SEL - I do watch those folks as well! Thanks for sharing it.

Great find Katie! I'll take a look at the article. Here is one I found on Search Engine Land:

How timely! Check out this article. Do you have your authorship on your website? Are you in the carousel? Do you have proper categories selected in Google+ Local? Have you weaved together your Google+ business page with Google+ Local? Great topic!! Especially for anyone that has a local business of course. I will see if I can attend.
