Tuesday Morning Drift Fishing
Let's go fishing on a morning deep sea fishing trip. On this trip, we'll go out fishing aboard the Catch My Drift, an 85ft party fishing boat. This won't be a private charter, but this is one of the boat's slower days, so it will mainly be us fishing on the trip. Drift fishing ( is a technique where everyone fishes off the side of the boat and drops down mid-depth or bottom baits. You can catch kingfish, bonito, snapper, grouper, tuna and a long-shot at sailfish or cobia. The trip starts at 8:30am, but try to arrive to the dock at 8am to check in. The boat supplies all the gear, bait, tackle, licenses, rods/reels and coolers with ice. If you have your own rods/reels to use, bring them. A 20 pound spinning reel or a 20-40# conventional reel is good for this trip if you bring your own gear. This being a party boat trip, No Braided Line Allowed. Price of the trip will be $30 plus tax, which is $10 less than the boat normally charges. Bring your own food/drinks on the trip, coolers and ice will be provided to keep your stuff cold. Feel free to bring a few beers if you like, but No Hard Liquor and No Glass Bottles. Other costs are: The only cost not included in the trip price is a tip for the deckhand, me!! The crew are aboard to help with everything, so no experience is necessary. More experienced fishermen usually catch more fish, but this trip is fun for people of all experience levels. If you have any questions about the trip, please call Capt. Andy anytime at[masked]. The Fishing Headquarters website has all their regular trip information too: Ft Lauderdale Fishing Charters (
