T'ai Chi Chih (TCC) is NOT a martial art, it is a derived from the ancient T'ai Chi. TCC is a series of 19 repetitive moves concentrating on the positive, gentle healing powers of CHI energy for balancing, grounding and well being. Developed in 1974 by Justin Stone, a T'ai Chi Chuan and Zen master, for adult Americans of all abilities seeking a peaceful, simple and mellow form of exercise and focused CHI utilization. TCC is called "THE EFFORT OF NO EFFORT' TCC is done standing (it can be done seated if necessary), requiring a 2'x4' space, no special equipment, clothing or shoes needed. There is no philosophy or dogma attached. Unlike Yoga, flexibility is not called for nor is the ability to remain seated in a lotus position and enter a 'nothing' state. Simply focus on a distant point, relax and begin the easy 19 movements. A full practice takes 45 minutes, can be abbreviated or broken up into smaller segments at home, at the office or on the road.
