Are you interested in TED talks, Radiolab, Hidden Brain and other science related podcasts? The Fort Worth Women's Biology Club is welcoming dynamic women who enjoy an engaging group of friends! We strive to learn from others, listen to various viewpoints and bond over the complexities of life and science. No question, idea, or quandary is too abstract. We strive to suck the marrow out of life! If you want to expand your mind, challenge perspectives, and have ideas of your own worth spreading, then this is the group for you. Our members posses degrees in science or a passion for critical thinking. We have monthly meetings at Fort Worth favorites such as Bird Cafe, Brewed and Avoca. Each month a host member will pick a podcast of their choice and write 5 discussion questions relating to the topic. The questions are shared with members prior to the meetings. We ask that each member listen to the assigned podcast read the questions and be prepared to thrash out viewpoints.
July’s meetup will be the second Tuesday of the month due to the July 4th holiday. So make note It is on the 9th!
July will be hosted by our most famous, most awesome and dependable member—Camille! She always brings an inquisitive thought and bonus data to meetings so we know her skills as hostess will be the absolute utmost. Bring an open mind and a scientific hat because you will need both!
As promised, July’s meetup will be different—and we love it!
We will be utilizing the book, “The Descent Of Woman” by Elaine Morgan as a jumping-off point. Should you read it? No! But if you choose to browse it beforehand we wont hold you back.
Thoughts and questions will be brought to the table to enlighten and engage.
