Leroy Oakes Forest Preserve Hike Redeaux

For anyone who needs some fresh air and exercise after the Thanksgiving Feast and to recuperate after Black Friday shopping, LeRoy Oakes offers some great trails for you and your dog.

I have checked all event calendars and have not found any cross-country or running events on November 24. We may also walk the "newly found trail" across the street from the forest preserve.

We will meet in the furthest parking lot past the old school house, two speed bumps and a picnic shelter.

The forest preserve is located about .5 mile west of Randall Road.

The forest preserve link is below:

A little chilly this morning, but a beautiful pre-winter day. The trail was nice because we followed the cross country course.

FYI - the trail across the street is nice. It's an old rail road line converted to a bike trail. Might have some luck since it's not biking weather. Enjoy!

We are also looking forward to meeting everyone and introduce my morky, Cody. But I am worry since he never socialized with other dogs.

No need to worry. There is usually some fuss and barking while we wait to start the walk but once we get going the dogs are busy walking and don't engage other dogs. Pack movement behavior takes over and they start to gain the self esteem of the pack. It awesome to witness!
