Needs a location
For April 2014
The agenda is TBD, however I am looking potentially to focus on programming tools (not programming but the tools) that might be used.
- Programming Languages (python, php, gcc, etc.)
- Programming environments (editors (nano, vi, emacs), cron, Arduino and Processing, etc.)
- SSH capability to remotely code (using the laptop to code and compile not Raspi). I used textwragler on the Mac, Notepad++ and a plug in on Windows should work.
- Packages required to use the GPIO pins or any other Input/output required.
Please suggest additional topics related to programming tools. Also see May event which is has no agenda yet.
As usual, feel free to reach out to me for separate training classes. I know there are a few beginners that want to buy or setup their Raspi.
If you have a Raspberry Pi and want to get together with others to compare notes, swap ideas, etc. come to our meetup. Bring your Pi and show us what you're doing with it.
If you're curious about the Raspberry Pi and want to meet others who have one or are just interested in finding out more about them, come to our meetup.
In addition to sharing and helping each other Saman will test some of his Raspberry Pi class curriculum on us, so it's a great opportunity if you are new to the Raspberry Pi and want to learn more.
Location will be Framingham, MA. Address provided when you RSVP.
For those unfamiliar with the Raspberry Pi, here is a link http://www.raspberrypi.org/
Check out the segment on our Raspberry Pi night that aired on Framingham Public Access Channel. The segment starts 10:34 into the video.
