PFS - Season 5 Faction Letters

From: Dan S.

If you've played a Season 5 scenario so far you'll note that there are no faction mission handouts anymore. Instead, each of the eight faction heads posted a letter in the "Faction Talk" section of the PFS messageboards, and a Paizo blog post a few weeks ago summarized each faction's goals for the Season. That's right, in each scenario some of the factions will make progress toward their season-long goals, and those that succeed at doing or learning something will get some kind of special boon on the chronicle.

For those of you that have lots of characters from all different factions, or that missed the blog summarizing the season's goals, I have pasted the blog post and all eight faction letters into a single document and posted it in the Files section of Meetup site (under "More" --> "Files").  You may want to put the appropriate faction letter with each character and review it before every Season 5 scenario, then pay attention and see if anything pops up that you should pursue.

This system is not retroactive to Seasons 0-4. You can choose to do the old faction missions for fun if you want, but no Prestige Points/Fame are tied to them anymore. Instead, you now get 1 PP if you complete at least three encounters (same as getting the scenario's 1 XP, in case you have to run away, die, or run out of time) and the second PP if you complete the overall scenario mission.
