Basic Chinese for beginners

This is the fifth meeting for the basic Chinese for beginners. Vocabulary words are available under files (Vocabulary #4):

Please review Vocabulary #1-3, print and bring a copy as reference. We will start putting words together in simple sentences and phrases in this meetup.

If you are fluent in Chinese and want to practice English or find conversation partners, do come and join us to help the beginners. Intermediate or advance level speakers are welcome to attend the regular Saturday afternoon meeting in Mt. View, or the Thursday conversation exchange meetup in Sunnyvale.

General lesson plan:

15-30 min on pronunciation and tones, including ㄅㄆㄇㄈ (bopomofo) review for those that are interested.

75-90 min vocabulary review and learn new words.

15 min questions and answers.

    I found this pinyin converter after a bit of searching http://www.purpleculture.net/chinese-pinyin-converter/ . The neat thing about this website is that it can export the pinyin to a word doc and also helps with pronunciation of the words. It appears to me that the pronunciation is accurate too.
