Let's meet to play ukulele, sing, and have fun.

We meet every Thursday, unless it falls on a holiday or our hosting venue is having a special event. Our hosting venue is the Eastgate Cafe in the Oak Park Arts District, who generously provides their dining room to us without a fee.. We sing songs found in that week's song-packet. Food and beverages are available for purchase from our hosting venue.

The song-sheet packet for this meetup is Faves & Raves! Volume 1, version 3. If you are a member, you can download the current packets by bringing up the Song-sheet Packet for the Next Meetup page.  Click on the page name to go there now.

A fun and boisterous evening. Lots of socializing and lots of great singing and playing too. Loved the guys singing "hunka hunka burning love"!

Another smaller group, but I'm not complaining. The bigger groups have more energy, but the smaller groups are more comfortable. It's nice that we get to experience both.

Thank you to all the participants; your enthusiasm gives us organizers encouragement, your feedback helps us to find ways to improve future meetups, and by extending the courtesy of ordering something from our venue, you're helping us to keep our happy home.

If you haven't done so already, please take a few minutes to share your comments here or on the Group Reviews page (http://bit.ly/1j9CUO6).

If you're a member, feel free to read the current financial report: http://bit.ly/1rfrbm8 Thank you to all who could afford to make a donation.

OK, my tooth pulling takes place tomorrow afternoon -- so I'm hoping to make sweet music in the evening (and pound some beers, too)!

Pounding beers: One way to forget about impending painful probabilities.

Don't forget to leave it for the Tooth Fairy, Laura. A dime here and a dime there adds up, but I wouldn't make that part of my financial plan.

Inflation has pushed the Tooth Fairy into bankruptcy, so we'll all have to rely on those 401ks (about as reliable as the tooth fairy)!

Real busy: Good. Can't come to meetup: Bad. Hope you can get rid of the baddies soon, Tina. And keep us posted about your gigs.
