Writers With Attitude, also known as W.W.A (yes like N.W.A) is a growing collective of writers from New York. Twice a month, every other Saturday from 1-3pm we meet in Harlem and discuss our current work and partake in writing exercises to get our juices flowing. We're currently looking for more consistent members that are 18+ years old that enjoy writing fiction, creative nonfiction or poetry as a hobby or would like to pursue it professionally. And of course, the program is FREE! No catch at all. Just make sure you RSVP via email before each session, otherwise you won't be able to attend.
Come with an open mind & heart to become a better writer. Let’s all learn from each other!
For more information and/or to RSVP, email us at: email@example.com

Disclaimer: Do not RSVP and not attend the session. If you realize you cannot attend, change your reservation as soon as possible. If you continuously RSVP but never show, you will be removed from the group.
For this session, we will focus on the use of "time" shown in stories, specificaly on Allison Mills story, "If a Bird Can Be a Ghost.": https://www.apex-magazine.com/if-a-bird-can-be-a-ghost/
Read the story and write down ways she shows time. What is the livelihood of the grandmother, daughter and granddaughter like? How does the grandmother's job allow her to re-visit the past? What does this mean for the family's future?
*Make sure you RSVP with the intention of showing up. If you cannot make it, change your reservation.
Hope to see you there!
