Join us for our last Freelance Friday of 2019! On December 6th, we will be joining the team at Makeshift Work Space to tackle some end-of-year tasks and meet one last time in this decade!
Makeshift (https://makeshiftworkspace.com/) is a space designed to inspire productivity and foster a community that welcomes, inspires and supports its members in their professional pursuits—and knows how to have fun when the work is done.
Here is how it works:
👉 Join us between 8:30 am - 12:30 pm @ Makeshift Work Space at 877 E Hastings Street, unit 308. Buzz 1308 on the panel to the left of the glass door, and take the elevator to the 3rd floor.
👉Drop-in is totally cool as long as you show up by 10:30 am. We'll be there between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm.
👉 We will work in three "sprints" and get sh*t done. Set your goals for the day and then work in 45-minute increments. WiFi and plenty of outlets are available, so no worries there!
👉 Between "sprints", we will mix and mingle with other independents, creatives, remote workers, and entrepreneurs for a productive work morning.
BYO - Laptop or any project you'd like to work on (arts & crafts always welcomed)
Attendance is open to all and free.
RSVP and invite your freelancing friends! 👯

Talent Collective (http://talentcollective.co/)
👉 Limited 2-hour parking options available, with a few free spots in the residential neighborhood and industrial zones. The 14, 16, and 20 buses stop right outside the space, so we recommend taking transit. =)
👉 Coffee will be provided, with even a few fancy coffee options available.
👉 Friday casual wear is totally ok, but maybe leave your flip-flops and ripped jeans at home.
👉 Although there is a networking portion, THIS IS NOT A NETWORKING EVENT per se. We get together to knock pesky tasks off our to-do lists and actually get sh*t done. If you want to work and meet other freelancers, this event is for you.
👉 We have a "three strikes" rule. If you are RSVPing to the event and don't attend, we'll count that as a strike against you. If you don't show three times, you won't be able to attend future events. Why? Most of our partners only have limited space, and we often have a waitlist. Meaning if you don't show, we can't backfill your seat and aren't taking full advantage of what these awesome partners are offering us. Plus, we think it's just plain business courtesy to let people know if you can't make a meeting anymore. To avoid having a strike against you, simply cancel your RSVP at least 24hrs prior to the event.
