What are our obligations to our community as individuals and as Masons?

On September 28, 2014 at 2:30 P.M. the Masonic Philosophical Society will be hosting a study group at the Santa Cruz Masonic Lodge. In each Meetup a different topic, ranging from philosophy and science to religion and metaphysics, is discussed, debated and related to the principles of Freemasonry. The topic for September will be, "What are our roles and obligations to our community as individuals and as Masons?" This discussion seeks to examine civic participation and its recent decline in most communities. We will explore whether as individuals and as Masons we have an obligation to participate in our community through community service and/or activism. This group for men and women, which is open to the public, is where non-members can learn more about Freemasonry, as well as meet local Co-Masons.
