Freeside Atlanta is a hackerspace / makerspace (and a nonprofit) dedicated to providing a space for engineers, programmers, inventors, artists, and other makers to collaborate.
Freeside holds open houses on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, so that people can see what we have, discuss what we can help do, and meet interesting Freesiders and guests.
We explain what Freeside is, review upcoming classes and other events, and briefly introduce ourselves (members and guests). Then we give a tour of the space, and mingle and talk and scheme.
You can also get a preview of our space by checking out our photo tour (http://www.meetup.com/Freeside-Atlanta/about/) page on Meetup.
Freeside is in space #6066 of the Metropolitan complex, at 675 Metropolitan Parkway. The Metropolitan complex is situated on the southwest corner of the intersection of Highway 41 (which changes name from Northside Drive to Metropolitan Parkway at the intersection) and Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard.
- Drive up a ramp to the entrance gate.
- At the gate, turn 180 degrees to the right.
- At the first and only left, turn left.
- Freeside is located on the righthand side, about 500 meters down.
