What we’re about

This is weekly word-of mouth group that's been around since at least 1988. There is no organizer, theme, or teacher.
You don’t have to speak fluent French, but our members do have at least a little bit of French and, importantly, a willingness to use the French they have and to make mistakes. It’s okay to be a beginner as long as you don’t expect to find “free tutoring” or “free French lessons"with "free teachers." You can (and will over time) learn by immersion, but please remember that this is a short time slot in everyone's week for us to use our French and escape from the English-speaking world for a bit.

We are meeting at Bryant Square Park in Minneapolis - 3101 Bryant Avenue South. Outdoor chairs welcome. OR as the weather changes.... (fall, winter, early spring, we will be AT Dunn Brothers at 34th and Hennepin. We stay outside as long as possible. See FB page below. Updates are timely.
Meeting approx. 10:30/11:00 and up to 2:00 at the cafe

OR, there is also an online option.....

Online
We have online options for chatting in French between 10:30 and 2:00. Reminder that it can take a bit for people to get online. There are two lines to choose from. Always left up to participants if they want to have general conversation or a specific topic. If you join line 1 and it gets too big, go to line 2. If you are the first person, do some recruiting from line 1.
