Remember that last time you wanted something so bad and you didn’t get it? Or you wanted someone so bad and they didn’t want you? Great feeling, huh? I feel that way a lot. In fact, I could probably do a whole show about all the times I didn’t get what I wanted. But since my therapist says I’m supposed to focus on lesson and not the loss I’m going to let you guys do the talking.
For this show we’re looking for stories about the times you weren’t good enough. As always, the topic is as broad as you want it to be. It could be a story of complete failure or falling just short. It can be about love, work, friendship, parenting, art, whatever it is that broke your heart or made you think that you couldn’t or didn’t measure up.
Practice a few times on your cats or that weird guy on the bus then come down Thursday, July 25th at 7:00pm to Roy St. Coffee and Tea.
As always, if you have any questions feel free to email me at [masked].
The rules for stories are below but you know the kind we’re looking for: true stories that happened to you that still mean something to you days, months or even years later.
Best advice I can give you? Practice out loud. I know, it’s awkward. You’ll just have to trust me on this one.
