- Monthly Meetup
We'll hang out, talk about Python, and someone will probably give a talk. Snacks and drinks will be provided. --- Hey y'all, I've been pretty busy with Root Access Hackerspace stuff (we're a non-profit and we're throwing a big party this Saturday, July 27th, from 4p-8p!), so I don't have a scheduled speaker. Instead, we'll hang out, eat pizza, and probably run through some Code Wars challenges as a group. Hope to see you there! --Derek Payton, Fresno.py Organizer
- Hacking Diabetes with Python
Derek Payton will be talking about hacking the FreeStyle Libre, a glucose monitoring device for Type 1 Diabetics. The FreeStyle Libre is a proprietary, closed source system, and we'll be using some Open Source tools to get the raw data off of it and a bit of Python to analyze the data. We'll also probably talk a bit bout the OpenAPS project, which aims to hack older insulin pumps with modern microcontrollers (i.e., the Raspberry Pi) to create an artificial pancreas system for Type 1 Diabetics. As always, food and drinks will be provided.
- Monthly Meetup: TwilioQuest!
*TwilioQuest*! TwilioQuest is an interactive, self-paced game where you learn how to Twilio. TwilioQuest introduces Twilio products (including APIs for SMS, Voice, Video, Chat, and more), features, and concepts while rewarding players as they embark on a journey through code. Megan Speir (Community + Python Developer) from Twilio will be on hand to get you started on this interactive self-paced game that teaches you to code against Twilio's APIs. There are special levels only available during Twilio events and there may be prizes for successful completions. For Python developers of all levels. As usual, food and drinks will be provided.
