What we're about

Many workers here in the South Bay are off from work every other Friday, and other locals have flexible work schedules, or are retired. So, why not get some Friday morning games on! This group is open to intermediate and up level players who love beach volleyball and are trying to improve their skill.
We meet every Friday morning in Manhattan Beach at the 4th Street courts. Players are asked to bring their own volleyballs & lines. Please RSVP as early in the week as possible so that we know that we have at least four players.

For those who want another morning of volleyball, we also play on Tuesday mornings. Some Tuesday morning games are at a private beach club in Rancho Palos Verdes, which requires advance RSVPs to get access. The location of the Tuesday meet up site will be changed in advance for those Tuesdays, so check the location details.
Dues are $10 annually to cover the subscription fees that MeetUp.com charges. Dues are payable to the Organizer or co-Organizer/s via cash, PayPal or Venmo. If you pay Thru MeetUp, the charge is $12 due to their payment processing fees. If you are not comfortable donating $10/year, to be fair to the regular Friday players & the Organizer who kindly fronts Meet Up’s fees on his credit card, PLEASE delete yourself from the group.

PLEASE POST WHAT TIME YOU CAN MAKE IT, if not within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time. Please be on time. We will play if we have four or more RSVP's. It is preferable to have and even multiple of 4, but do not worry if your signup makes it uneven. 2 on 2 is preferred, but usually will play 3 on a side, if need be, so no one should have to sit out. We try to avoid 4 players if at all possible, but that does sometimes happen. 2 GAME RULE- Assuming we have more than 2 courts going, The winning team from Court 2 moves up to Court 1. If we have 3 courts playing then the winning team from Court 3 moves up to Court 2. After moving courts, the teams switch partners so that everyone gets to play with everyone & we don't have one dominating team. Please bring balls and short court lines if you have them. 'New School Rules', rally to 21, yellow ball, short court. ALL members are asked to donate $12 a year(10 in person at the beach) to help contribute to the fees that Meet Up charges to keep this group going. You can give dues to the Organizer or Co-Organizer/s, or you can also send $10 via PayPal to Chris. To be fair to our Friday morning players, please delete your own membership if you are not willing to pitch in. Please add your guests to your RSVP so we can have best idea how many people are coming.
