5 th Anniversary pack ride PRE RIDE

MANDATORY SAFETY TALK
AND SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS AT
RSVP ---only---- if you are willing to perform any 1 or more of the below highlighted duties on the REAL Anniversary pack ride coming up on May 27th
Note to last years support riders. Thank you! You do need to attend to re familiarize yourself w/ the route and be an example to the new trainees..Your participation is Mandatory to support actual ride 2 weeks later
RSVP 'rs must be willing to be a corner keep, a traffic blocker or a pillion capable of taking video ..for the upcoming ride..
Please read entire post as you may qualify for 1 or more roles to help this events success.
This event will be a trial run for the traffic control corner keep segments of the actual ride.
The entire pack ride route will be ridden. It is 120 gorgeous miles in (4) - 45 minute ride segments. On this pre-ride we'll take a 30 minute break between segments just for fun and some instruction. May 27th the ride breaks will be different from our pre-ride today.
This is your opportunity to see the real route. Nearly 70% of this route is spent at 60 mph on very scenic roads.
The end results of who will qualify for these positions will be determined by communication and SAFETY.
Riders for this event will learn how and where to control traffic, which corners to keep and at what points to aim video cameras .
I DONT CARE WHO YOU ARE .. Your dedication to Safety first is all I ask.
It does not matter if you know me or not .. or how new you are to the group.
If you feel you are capable of following 4 simple hand signals that I will go over, and can absolutely keep a Safety First mentality you may qualify . If you do not qualify you will get to see, ride and experience the route before anybody else. And it is absolutely a wonderful ride. A beautiful way to spend a Sunday
ALL FoSMR qualified leads and sweeps are encouraged to rsvp .
CORNER KEEP will pull out of the group at my signal only stop in a safe place on the effected corner until the designated sweep reaches that corner and then fall back into the group in front of the Sweep.
TRAFFIC BLOCKER WILL NOT block traffic then race back up in front of the pack. The traffic blocker will, at my signal only, position himself in front of already stopped traffic at stop signs and red lights to prevent cross traffic from moving forward as the pack rolls through. 6 easy to control intersections. You will fall back into the pack in front of the assigned Sweep. This position has a legality issue that we will discuss but not print.
PILLIONS IS A PLUS for traffic blockers and corner keeps but only if they have any kind of video option on cameras, phones. camcorders, etc., on the day of the actual pack ride. If necessary I will supply my own camcorders.
VIDEOGRAPHER preferably will be a pillion riding with corner keeps, traffic blockers or as a passenger in a car or truck. This means simply push a button and stay aimed in 1 direction only from the pack's beginning to the pack's end at my pre selected points on the route. You will not miss being in the pack ride.
