Cypher Lab

We meet again graphistas. This time it will be a hands on lab meetup. The meetup will be held at NordUnet A/S office (it's near  Rådmansgatan Subway station).

The intention is to explore Cypher Query language in a lab setting. Detailed format of this lab will be updated in the coming few days. The date is a suggestion and we would like to see more people come to this meetup.

Participants will either have to bring their own laptop or pair with some one who has brought one. It is assumed that the attendees know very little or nothing at all about Cypher. If you are confident with your Cypher knowledge then perhaps you can help others in this meetup.

You can find more about Cypher in Neo4 docs (http://docs.neo4j.org...) or from this video cast by the legendary developer Michael Hunger (http://video.neo4j.or...)

Edit: Unfortunately the venue for the second meetup had to be changed. But sure enough the lab will still take place on 6:30 PM (and it is targeted to last between 1.5 and 2 hours). If you have a questions please call Hatim on[masked] 689.

For the lab please bring your laptop with Neo4j community edition daily development snapshot version installed. Please see the Neo4j manual for minimum requirements for running Neo4j server. If you don't have Neo4j installed, need help installing or cannot bring your laptop don't worry we will figure it out.

The lab will be done in various sections introducing different Cypher features (based on the Neo4j manual) and then at the end of each section we will do some exercises and try to think up of examples to add onto those exercises (a bit of open ended collaboration). The data sets will be presented during the lab-session (some can be found here http://example-data.neo4j.org/). You will be able to upload the datasets onto your systems. (it is probably not a good idea to work on the same server and dataset).

Looking forward to having some Cypher Fun :)
