Wood-splitting

Keeping park campers supplied with lots of split firewood not only protects the park from invasive pests but also generates thousands of dollars which can be reinvested in the park. No experience required!! Plus all of the hours accumulate toward free park passes.

We have three wood splitters so no tools are required. Also, please remember to wear good shoes / boots, long pants and gloves if you have them (we'll have some too).  And remember that you don't pay access or parking fees when you're volunteering.  Just let the folks at the gate know that your here to split wood and head on down to the woodshed.

See you there!

It is always good helping in the park. If the woodsplitter I was using, is found in Swift Creek, it was not me, I was out of town.
