If you're curious about the Border Route, considered by many to be the most scenic section of the 5000+ mile North Country National Scenic Trail, we welcome you to join us at the Border Route Trail Association Annual Meeting to be held at REI Bloomington, 7:00PM, Thursday, January 9, 2020. You'll receive first hand info from Maggie who has recently thru-hiked the BRT as well as from the volunteers that laid out and built the BRT back in the 70's and those volunteers that continue to maintain it to this day.
An intro from this year's Feature Presenter:
"My name is Maggie and I am a current DNP candidate at Creighton University. Before I started my journey into higher education, I took a walk on a vague path in the woods fondly known as the BRT. I hope to provide a short overview of the trail and offer some objective details that will encourage people to explore the trail for themselves by means of day hikes or a through hike like I did. I will finish my presentation with my experience with the trail and answer any questions about the trail or my outdoors experience in general."
The BRTA Annual Meeting is a free event open to all those interested in hiking the trail, maintaining the trail, and promoting the BRT.
