What we're about

Calling all environmental and climate justice activists in the Philadelphia area! Join Friends of the Earth and be a voice for justice and the planet by speaking truth to power. We lead the fight against corporations and governments and push for what is needed, not what is politically easy. We will have different events, from rallies to phone banking parties to volunteer socials.

Friends of the Earth works to create a healthy and just world for people and the planet. We have members in all 50 states and advocates in Congress, state capitols, and community groups around the country. We are part of Friends of the Earth International, a 75-country network representing over 2 million activists around the world. Learn more at foe.org ( https://foe.org/ ).

Fossil Free Pennsylvania Campaign Launch Call!

Needs a location

At Friends of the Earth, we have a plan to take on the fossil fuel industry this Summer. First, we’re demanding that members of Congress speak out against fossil fuel projects in their districts -- from the Jordan Cove export terminal in Oregon, to the oil refinery in Philadelphia. But this isn’t just about stopping the fossil fuel industry one project at a time. Every time a Member of Congress speaks out against an individual project, we have the opportunity to show them why no fossil fuel project is acceptable. This builds momentum for national solutions to keep fossil fuels in the ground – like a fossil fuel-free Green New Deal. This call is for Friends of the Earth activists in Pennsylvania to connect, share, and learn strategies to engage on this critical national effort. Open invitation for these regular calls. RSVP for the call here: http://foe.org/fossilfreePA
